Welcome to My Office:

           Practice and Approach:

I have enjoyed working with children, teens, adults and couples in my private practice in Walnut Creek since 1989. My most valuable clinical qualities may be my ability to deeply connect with and understand you, and the passion with which I work to help you get better. I have an engaging, nurturing yet direct professional style, am candid, honest and elicit trust, and strive to work collaboratively with you to best meet your needs.

In addition, my breadth of train
g and personal and professional experience is wide. I have a compassionate understanding of the human condition, it's vicissitudes and challenges throughout the life-span, and what we need to be happy. Utilizing a biopsychosocial model of practice, I try to consider all the factors that make you who you are and contribute to your current troubles, and may address medical, biological, cultural, developmental, familial, social, psychological and intrapsychic issues when working with you. This allows me to get to the heart of your problems, properly diagnose your symptoms, and consult with you to design optimal treatment strategies.

The Treatment Plan:
We will work together to form goals and design a treatment plan that is most efficient and effective for you and your family. I am practical and considerate of your time and resources. Because of the breadth of my clinical training and experience and personal flexibility, I am able to draw from a wide range of therapeutic modalities and techniques, tailoring the therapy to meet your specific goals and needs.

I elicit your honest feedback and fine tune as we go to provide optimal treatment. With all humility, I am here to help you and am committed to doing so. If, during the initial appointment (or at any time), that means helping you find a different clinician, or that you are ready to stop, I am happy to do that, too.
