Solution-Focused, Insight-Oriented and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapies:
In short-term, solution focused therapy, I offer practical solutions and cognitive techniques to help you create change, and to use your time and resources efficiently. I provide insight-oriented psychodynamic psychotherapy to increase your awareness of the attitudes and triggers that create your obstacles, relationship problems and emotional turmoil, and help you develop healthier coping strategies, communicative and interpersonal skills, and improve your self-confidence and resilience. 

I also provide deeper, sometimes long-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy to help you uncover the intrapsychic factors underlying your problems. Working through old wounds, irrational assumptions, unconscious conflicts, guilt and fear helps you break free of destructive patterns and achieve greater growth and change.

Individual and Couple's Therapy:
I help individuals improve relationships, manage emotions, stress, and weight; heal from loss, suffering, and trauma; and overcome self-destructive thoughts and behaviors. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Techniques/Stress Reduction:
I teach mindfulness based cognitive behavioral strategies, including relaxation, imagery, self-hypnosis and breathing techniques, for stress management, self-control and symptom reduction. I promote mind/body health (nutrition, exercise, yoga, meditation, and spirituality) to help create balance, joy, harmony and meaning in your lives.

Child/Teen/Parent Therapy: 
I work with parents to help them understand their kids, improve communication, manage their children and teens' behavior and learn to offer guidance. I help children and teens learn to understand, express and manage feelings

communicate and resolve conflict, and improve their social skills and academic functioning, self-esteem, self-control, and resilience. I help teens and young adults to develop the good judgment and tools they need to become independent and successful adults. Go to that page for more information.
